Fiestravaganza International Music Academy 2025

The “Fiestravaganza International Music Academy” is the first major summer academy for piano in Berlin. It offers young talents in particular exceptional opportunities that are difficult to obtain at the beginning of their careers. These include master classes, workshops, exclusive access to Bechstein's collection of historical keyboard instruments and solo and orchestral performances in the large concert halls of the UdK Berlin.

What we offer

• Individual master classes with all renowned lecturers: Jacques Rouvier, Christian A. Pohl, Lucas Blondeel and Shaun Choo.
• Lessons are held on both modern and historical pianos, thanks to exclusive access to Bechstein’s extensive collection of historical keyboard instruments, allowing participants to explore music history and craftsmanship.
• Workshops on fortepiano and piano methodology.
• Chamber music rehearsals with string colleagues and members of two promising Berlin ensembles: the Viatores Quartet and the Fiestravaganza Ensemble.
• Concert appearances at important venues such as the Berlin University of the Arts.
• Numerous performance opportunities in solo, chamber and orchestral settings, including a piano concerto set with the Camerata Fiestravaganza (for extended participation only).

Building on the successful piano program, FIMA 2025 introduces an exciting new opportunity for talented young string players. This expansion cements FIMA’s position as a premier summer academy for aspiring musicians in Berlin. String participants will benefit from:

• Individual and group coaching by members of two promising Berlin ensembles: The Viatores Quartet and the Fiestravaganza Ensemble.
• Opportunities for the presentation of solo, chamber and orchestral works.
• Chamber music rehearsals together with piano colleagues and mentors.
• Concert appearances at venues such as the Berlin University of the Arts.
• Selected participants will join the string sections of the Camerata Fiestravaganza at the FIMA 2025 closing concert.
